Born in Pretoria and educated at Menlo Park High School, Dr Charles Stephanus Nienaber earned both his MBChB and Master's degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with Cum Laude distinction from the University of Pretoria.


Since 1991, he has been a cornerstone of women's healthcare in Klerksdorp, providing compassionate, expert care to thousands of families across the North West province. Beyond medicine, Dr Nienaber represented South Africa in road and mountain cycling and was named Klerksdorp's Athlete of the Year.

No referral is needed. You can book directly. However, some medical aids may require a referral for certain specialist procedures — please check with your provider beforehand.

We recommend booking as soon as you confirm your pregnancy, ideally between 6–8 weeks. This allows us to confirm with an early ultrasound, establish your due date, and begin a comprehensive care plan.

We accept all major South African medical aids including Discovery Health, Bonitas, Momentum, Medshield, GEMS, Bestmed, and Fedhealth. Private and cash payments are also welcome.

Please bring your ID document, medical aid card, any previous medical records or scan reports, a list of current medications, and details of any allergies.

Yes, Dr Nienaber performs deliveries at both Lenmed Wilmed Park Hospital and Life Anncron Hospital. The choice of hospital will be discussed during your antenatal visits.
